• Waffen SS sniper scope Ajack 4×90 Dienstglas

    Early civilian Ajack 4×90 scope modified to be used by the Waffen SS snipers. These scopes were used on reworked G98 rifles, mostly with SSR mount. Note the typical SS 1-3 meter dial and the rifle numbed engraved on the scope main tube. On the other side of the elevation turret should be a skull and bones along with SS runes and the marking “Diesntglas” but it was erased post-war on this scope.

  • Z.F.41 Swarovski Optik in Austria (cag)

    Here we have a matching ZF.41 telescopic sight and carrying can. Unfortunately, the set misses the klarinol cloth and dust brush to be complete. The ZF.41 wears the code “cag”, corresponding to the manufacturer Swarovski Optik in Austria.

  • LSR K. Kahles Wien H/4×60 scope

    H/4×60 sniper scope made by Karl Kahles manufatcurer in Vienna. This model was fitted with a recoil ring to be used with the long lateral side mount (LSR) on K98k sniper rifle. Later, these “H/4×60” and Kahles logo were replaced by the war code “cad”.

  • Oigee Berlin Luxor 3x scope

    Luxor 3x sniper scope made by Oigee manufactuer in Berlin. This model was one of the most used during WWI. Its deported mount is also typical. This one bears the same rifle number “n° 712 i” than the scope main tube. Meter dial is Prussian 1-10 style.

  • Ground dug ZF.4 scope & mount

    Ground dug ZF4scope and mount. The “ddx” marking is still visible on the scope, corresponding to the manufacturer Voigtlander sohne AG in  Braunschweig. Some of the rifle serial numbers are still visible on the mount.

  • Oigee Berlin Luxor 3x scope

    Here is a complete set used by a German sniper during WWI. The scope was made by Oigee in Berlin, model Luxor 3x. Scope, mounts and carrying case bear the G98 matching serial number 7368 bb. The case also comes with its little cleaning brush and mount adjustement key.

    The well-known picture below shows a German sniper aiming through a similar scope from its trench during WWI. Note the carrying case attached to its belt.

  • Dr. W. Gerard 4x “G” scope

    Sniper scope made by Dr. Walter Gerard, model “G” 4x. The scope is bearing the rifle serial number 7790 c (Gewehr Nr. 7790 c). Note the Bavarian style meter dial “2-4-6”.
